Her's a giant stalagmite which is about 50 feet high. Look at the detail. All formed by dripping water. The section of the cavern I was in was called 'The Big Room'. The walking path that you see in the last photo was over a mile long. That just gives you an idea of how big this place is. There were literally millions of these stalagmites of various sizes just in the section I visited. I'm told there are hundreds of miles of trails at Carlsbad. This is a must see if you are ever in New Mexico.
