The first stop out of Sedona was Meteor Crater. This giant hole was made by a meteor about 50,000 yrs ago. It's 550 feet deep and 4000 feet across. The surrounding area is flat arizona desert, then there is this gigantic crater rises up from the plains. There is enough room at the bottom for 20 football fields.
